Low Mood Counselling

People are continuously exposed to different events in their lives, and as a normal and natural response to them, sometimes we all experience ups and downs in our lives. Illness, bullying, a difficult childhood, relationship problems, divorces, and bereavement are just some of the reasons why we may feel hopeless and in a low mood.

Unfortunately, some people have difficulty determining the trigger for their low mood, being either unaware of it or having multiple factors that affect low mood so they cannot determine them.

General low mood symptoms

  • Low self-esteem
  • Agitation
  • Tiredness
  • Frustration & anger
  • Poor work performance.

Usually, a low mood lasts for a short time and it should pass after a few days. However, in case the low mood lasts for several months, this can be an indicator of depression.

The above-mentioned symptoms can become more present / intense, and people can also experience:

  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Hopelessness
  • Tearfulness (appear without reason)
  • Intolerance of others
  • Not getting pleasure out of life
  • No motivation or interest in things
